Prints

Ive found myself incredibly drawn to prints lately, which is obviously a backlash against my days of dressing like one of those dudes who was at the top of skyscrapers welding shit from 1930's photographs. I was sick of telling people i was a fashion major and getting back confused looks, as they probably assumed by my shoes that i studied desert hiking. Between my shirt, jacket, or supreme cap, im almost never not in a print nowadays, and i feel like it has helped move away from the bland without having a certain outstandingly fashionable look. Of course with camo, which is my primary print, you are still in danger of looking like a junkie from needle park in the 70's (which i completely cosign by the way), but if you know how to match it up correctly, its a guaranteed go. Pictured are jackets from Highland and Supreme, and a shirt by opening ceremony, all of which i purchased recently, and am mostly in love with. My only complaint about any of these garments is the cheesy airborn patch and terrible plastic buttons on the supreme joint, but the fit and print more than make up for it.

the highland jacket is the only one with sizes still available:

Wiley vs. Dot Rotten

One of the illest traditions in rap music is battling. The newest battle to peak my interest arises from two of my favorite uk artists. These two are grime legend Wiley, and probably my favorite english mc, Dot Rotten. They come pretty hard at each other, but i have to take dot for the victory.

Product Review: NBHD B&C Wool Flannel Shirt

This is a fantastic shirt. The weight is perfect to be used as either a shirt of jacket, both of which ive already utilized to great effect, and has a very nice hand for a wool shirt. Its always a a struggle whether or not to size up with japanese product as it varies piece to piece, but i went with my size in this case and the fit is great.

buy from haven.
and they also have sizes in other colors in sf's own darkside initiative.

The Return of the Depressed One

Burial is one of my all-time favorite artists. Burial is the king of understated, down tempo electronic music, and no one other than him, bjork and ghostface killah can give me chills every single time i play one of their songs. That said, its a great time to be a burial fan, not only becuase his highly publicised release with thom yorke and four tet, but also because he released new solo material this week for the first time in 4 years.
Heres my favorite song from his new ep - Street Halo.
Buy from beatport.

A New Beginning

Since I am re-emerging from the vast graveyard that is discarded blogs, I figure it's only right to christen this new experience with Bill Violas' fantastic piece about spirits returning from the dead - Ocean Without a Shore.
