John Chamberlain r i p
I just read the devastating news that John Chamberlain passed away. One of my absolute favorite sculptures, and the major influence to many of my favorite sculptures working today. A truly sad loss for the galaxy.

Artist Spotlight: E.V Day
E.V Day was a name i didn't see around for a while, so i was excited to see her work floating around in the recent weeks. This NY born sculptor and installation artist, explores among other things, feminism; doing so in a quit confrontational manner. I originally was attracted to her work because a lot of her pieces share a similar aestethic to Cronenberg's visual leanings, not to say she doesn't have a style all her own. I don't think Cronenberg would approach an exhibition at the Whitney by filling the ceiling with resin coated thongs.

Magazine Covers: Dazed and The Face
Two of my favorite blogs, Better Never Than Late, and Carri Munden of Cassette Playa's blog on Honeyee, provide a great post documenting old covers from two fantastic magazines, Dazed and Confused and The Face. Im a sucker for archived publishings, and you probably are too, so check em.

PR Fashion Shoot
I had the pleasure of helping put together a photo shoot and press kit for a very talented graduating designer named Renata Lindroos. The shoot happened in conjunction with my class mates photo shoots, and it was really exciting to see all the young designers' work on good looking humans. Even though these shoots were for school, the energy was wonderful, and it made me excited to attempt to find a real career in the fall.

S.E.H Kelly
No brand speaks to my grown man side more than British label S.E.H Kelly. I love the slightly futuristic minimalism of the designs, almost something you would see in Russian communist era sci-fi films. This coupled with the fact their made of gorgeous fabrics, makes them truly stand out.
Art Basel
Art Basel is played out, but there are still some good artists who show in hopes some pointy dress shoe wearing twats will put some $$$ in their pockets. Purple offers a good slideshow of strictly art, with no dickheads or wanna be coolguys.
